Meet Holly & Josie
Founders of Strong and Nourished
Hi there! I'm Holly...
I left my job in busy central London, for a big change of direction. We moved East to raise our young family somewhere calm and relaxed, close to friends and relatives. Building a private gym, offering my own brand of positive personal training, and helping others to get fit, has been the ambition of a lifetime.
I became a personal trainer because more than anything, I enjoy supporting others through exercise. Nothing makes me happier than seeing those I've worked with reaching their goals, crossing the finish line or just knowing that they feel healthier than ever.
The road to feeling fitter, stronger or simply more body-confident, looks different to everyone. I have recently had my own personal battle with Breast Cancer so I understand what it can feel like to begin again, or to have set backs - luckily I'm back to my full health and enjoying being back to work again!
I'll help you navigate the every day challenges, focussing your mindset and developing a progressive fitness plan that suits you and your life, for sustainable results!
I'm a highly qualified and experienced personal trainer who is fully focussed on you. My method to fat loss, to muscle gain or changing your body composition is broken down very simply for you. I'll educate you along the way so that you get results you deserve and feel empowered to regain control, without disrupting your busy life.
I know how it feels to have set backs, to be busy, and time to yourself is precious. I'll help you find ways to build time for you in to your week, to fall in love with strength training and to reap all the benefits that come with it.
Hi there! I'm Josie...
I'm a certified food and eating psychology coach with a passion for helping women build a healthier and more positive relationship with food.
In a previous life I was burnt out, working crazy hours in a corporate job, trapped in the revolving doors of weight loss clubs. Often coming home at 8pm to an empty fridge, and heading for meltdown.
Around two-thirds of people on restrictive diets regain more weight than they lost within five years* and yet, the diet industry in the UK is worth around £2bn+ a year. Diet culture is aggressively targeted at women and so many of us suffer with low self-esteem and body image issues. The cycle needs to stop and that's where I come in.
I offer evidence-based nutrition coaching to women who are ready to change the way they relate to food. My approach to nutrition goes beyond meal planning and recognises that your relationship with food is intricately linked to your experiences, thoughts and emotions.
I have a distinction in Eating Psychology Coaching. I studied applied nutrition for Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolic Syndrome with Sano School of Culinary Medicine. I'm ‘Applying Intuitive Eating and Non-Diet Approaches in Practice’ certified, and studied Food and Mood: Improving Mental Health Through Diet and Nutrition with Deakin University.
